Freedom to Live

With the recent slew of celebrity deaths it’s hard to ignore that people die everyday. However, the problem we have in every society is the untimely death by murder. Someone takes it upon themself to deny another human being the Freedom to Live, and it’s a tragedy. There are many examples of this- war, abortion [depending on how you feel], serial killers, the list goes on and on. The most recently publicized and disturbing one is the murder-suicide of Steve McNair.
The man had everything going for him: a wife, beautiful children, and a great career. Whatever posessed him to take up a the very young Kazemi is unknown, but her reaction to me is inexcusable. She knew what she was getting into and instead of taking responsibility/control she took the easy way out. As if it were not enought to give up on her life, she took the life of a father and husband, leaving his wife to pick up the pieces. It was the single most selfish act a person can commit.
I understand some people are too weak to deal with the realities of life, but do us all a favor. Kill yourself, privately in your own home, and do not take anyone else with you. Not your kids, your boo, your parents, or some person who made you mad that one time. Leave the rest of us alone, we have a right to live and “miles to go before we sleep.” Let that be a lesson to the rest of us, be careful who you allow into your lives. You never know how disturbed they are!

RIP Steve McNair.
